1. Data controller
Amigoomap is the controller of personal data processed through the service. Privacy requests can be submitted through the privacy center. Updated contact information will be published here when the company's legal contact details are finalized.
2. Data we process
- Account and profile: email, name, age, gender, language, biography, profile pictures, and interests.
- Social features: friendships, blocks, statuses, invitations, participation, requests, and notifications.
- Events: descriptions, images, times, participants, and location. Precise location is only used when a feature requires it.
- Safety: safety contacts, reports, panic alerts, and location updates you actively share.
- Payment: subscription status and provider references. Card details are processed by the payment provider, not by Amigoomap.
- Technical information: security logs, error information, language, theme, and consent choices.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Contract: creating accounts and providing social features, events, safety features, and subscriptions.
- Consent: optional cookies, marketing, and device access such as location, camera, and photos.
- Legitimate interests: preventing misuse, securing the service, handling reports, and improving stability after balancing the relevant interests.
- Legal obligation: accounting, regulatory requirements, and handling data subject rights.
- Vital interests: the panic feature may process location to relay an activated safety alert.
4. Recipients and processors
Data is shared only when necessary with providers of cloud storage, sign-in, maps and geocoding, payments, translation, and technical operations. These include Lovable Cloud, Google for Google sign-in, Mapbox for maps, Stripe for payments, and Lovable AI for automatic translation. Other users receive information you choose to make visible through your profile, status, event, or safety feature.
5. Transfers outside the EEA
Some providers may process data outside the EEA. Such transfers will be protected by a valid transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, EU standard contractual clauses, and necessary supplementary measures.
6. Retention
Account data is stored while the account is active. Active live photos expire within the selected period, up to 24 hours. Deleted or expired data is removed or anonymized when no longer needed, except where retention is required by law or needed for security incidents, disputes, or documentation of privacy requests.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or data portability, or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Use the privacy center. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
8. Automated decisions and children
Amigoomap does not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The service has a minimum age of 16 and is not intended for younger children.
9. Security and changes
We use access controls, encrypted transport, restricted storage access, and security logging. Users will be clearly notified of material changes, and renewed consent will be obtained where required by law.
